Their North Shore Elopement Story

Queenie and Roger knew they wanted something steeped in nature, with big cliffs and all the waves crashing on the rocky beaches sounds. My mind immediately went to Lake Superior. An elopement on the North Shores of Minnesota is all of those things and more, depending on where you look. You can find so much solitude and beautiful views wrapped up into one place. Or, like these two did, you can opt for two epic places and really get that full Lake Superior experience.

They got married on the shores of Split Rock State Park in the most intentional and meaningful way freaking possible! Their view of the lake was overlooking an island, woods and beaches. It was June, sunny and for the most part, we were the only ones there. After some wandering around and lovin’ on each other by the lighthouse, we hiked back to the parking lot for a quick break. While they headed to Two Harbors to grab some grub – and the best dang carrot cake of my life - we headed to Gooseberry State Park to start setting up their romantic elopement celebration setup. As the sun dipped below the horizon, Roger and Queenie shared their first dinner together as a married couple. We joined in and shared some laughs, ate some yummy cake and celebrated their commitment together.

Their whole day was such a meaningful experience to witness and be apart of! I cannot express enough gratitude for these two sweet souls!
