Engagement Photos At Devil’s Lake State Park

This was my second time exploring Devil’s Lake State Park which is located along the Baraboo Range. It’s Wisconsin’s largest State Park with epic lake views from the towering 500 ft quartzite cliffs (which for us flatlanders, is quite the hike!) Littered with quartzite rock formations, it’s obvious this landscape was carved out by the late Continental Glacier that once covered most of the state. This diverse landscape, in my opinion, is one of the greatest views in Wisconsin.

Emily & Andrew decided to celebrate their engagement by hiking up to Devil’s Doorway in the park for their photo session adventure. Let me just say, these two make one hell of an adventurous team! They kicked ass hiking up the bluffs, squeezing all the love into each other every chance they could get, all the while looking so dang good!!!

is it really an adventure, without a little blood?!

Yep, you read that right…. let me give you some backstory. We explored around the Baraboo Hills a ton, until the sun started to dip in the sky a little faster than we had originally planned for. Cut to all four of us practically running down the trail through the boulder field, and down the cliff… trying to beat the setting sun! Only a small tumble later and an injured big toe, we finally made it down to Devil’s Lake just in time for Emily & Andrew to hop in the lake and bring some serious heat to their photos – like holy hell, scroll all the way to the bottom!
