Briana & Josh are definitely outdoor & travel enthusiasts, who are not afraid of some good ol’ adventuring! Just hearing that Josh proposed to her last winter in literally -40 degree weather during a hike around Interstate Park in Taylors Falls, MN. I knew these two were my kind of strong willed explorers! Being big fans of the rugged and woodsy Lake Superior shoreline, hiking around Silver Bay, MN was the obvious choice for their engagement photos! Scenic views of the North Shore & large rocky cliff sides of the Sawtooth Mountains, were the perfect pairing for some truly adventurous Northern Minnesota feeling images!

As the sun started to set in the bluffs, we headed down to the Black Sand Beach a few miles down the road. Briana had mentioned she wanted to get in the water for some really fun images of them cuddling it up in the lake! Let’s just say, the water was nothing less than FREEZING… but let’s remember how badass these two are and apparently super cold tolerant! Some of my favorite images from the entire evening were of them splashing each other and playing in the water with their doggo, Huck (who is the sweetest little girl, EVER, btw!)

So much fun was had wandering around the north woods together!! From the amazing vantage point up along the trail in the Minnesota mountains overlooking Lake Superior, all the way down to the beach. I am so excited to not only photograph their wedding next year, but to CELEBRATE their love, you guys it’s literally the greatest thing ever!
